Responsible for handling a portfolio of clients, you can foresee, and are prepared for, the processing of payroll from start to finish for a variety of weekly, monthly, four weekly and fortnightly payrolls.
This is no ordinary Payroll Assistant role. You won’t be working “in-house” on one set of payroll accounts – you will be working to service a number of businesses and with this comes a whole host of challenges that are also really rewarding.
As a team, you will be responsible for over 200 clients with varying employee numbers from a variety of sectors.
Providing exceptional client care comes easily to you in all forms from communications and the knowledge you provide in your communications, through to the accuracy and clarity of keeping records up to date. You are the go to in providing clarity and support on payroll and PAYE matters, establishing a good rapport and high levels of trust with clients.
Your previous experience has given you the confidence, knowledge and understanding needed to succeed in this role. Responsibilities will include calculating statutory deductions, proactively carrying out payroll reconciliations, and ensuring Auto Enrolment are timely and accurate. You have up to date knowledge of payroll and legislation and are self-motivated to continue to learn and improve skills.
Previous Payroll experience is essential, as although some of the role is process and policy driven, other tasks will require the application of judgement gained through experience. Excellent Microsoft Office skills are a must have, in particularly Excel and Payroll software. If you are ready to take on the challenge, please apply below.
